Red belly eating a brown snake might be peak Australia

Another day, another example of just how cooked this country is.

We’re all well aware of the fact that Australia is an isle of death, with more deadly creatures than you can timidly poke a stick at.

After surviving in this wide, brown land for so long, we’ve seen our fair share of snakes, spiders and other cruel jokes made while Mother Nature was in a stinker of a mood.

But this is a bit much.

Someone was just out in the bush at Ebor, on the Northern Tablelands of NSW, minding their own business and they stumbled on this.

It’s a red-bellied black snake munging on a brown snake.

Fair bloody dinkum.

“Brown snakes are extremely venomous and there is a myth that red bellies eat them,” the poor soul wielding the camera said.

“It’s not a myth.

“This video proves it’s true.”

We get it, Australia, this place is a death trap.

But steady on.

The fact that not even the snakes are safe from Australia’s snakes doesn’t feel good.
