Puppy named after Ringo Starr gets head stuck in cabinet
If you’re having a bad day, spare a thought for poor Ringo Starr.
No, not the former Beatles drummer, the Yorkshire terrier.
This little guy caused a bit of a kerfuffle after getting his head stuck in a television cabinet earlier this week.
Ringo, who lives in Birkenhead, England, woke his human in Verity O’Neill with his cries as he tried to yank himself free.

The young dog’s story quickly went viral after an RSPCA inspector Anthony Joynes tweeted this photo:

As you might have guessed, this one sparked a flurry of Beatles puns.
The Independent IE went with:
Yelp! I need somebody – puppy Ringo gets stuck in cabinet
And in a yarn from ITV, Joynes dropped this cheeky chime:
“Ringo Starr was found in the morning but it's possible he could have become stuck for some time before, it could well have been A Hard Day's Night for him, until he started crying for Help,” he said.
Nice one.

Thankfully, it didn’t take much to get the little dog out.

With some strategic manoeuvring and a whole lot of vegetable oil, Ringo was free.
After taking him to a vet for a quick check up and a bath, Ringo it seems was good as gold.

The latest reports indicate Ringo had a “big lunch” after returning from the vets, followed by a long nap.
