Our hearts can’t handle this police dog performing CPR on his trainer

Well here’s a little something to perk up on an otherwise dull and soul-crushing Tuesday.

It’s video of a little police dog “performing CPR” on a fallen officer while wearing a flashing siren on his back.

His name is Poncho and he’s with the Madrid Municipal Police in Spain.

He showed off his ‘life-saving’ skills in a performance with an officer at a live police dog demonstration and by jingo was it delightful.

The little sweetheart even appears to stop to listen for breath and feel for a pulse.

Video of Poncho went nuts after being tweeted by Madrid Police, clocking up more than two million views on Twitter.

We’re not sure how well Poncho would go in CPR test or an actual life-threatening situation, but we reckon his method is extremely effective at warming cold, dead hearts around the world.
