Man who 'couldn't leave his house' unveils results of astonishing 214kg weight loss on My 600Lb Life: Where Are They Now?

Joe Wexler felt like a "prisoner in [his] own body" and "couldn't leave the house" when he made his TV debut on My 600-lb Life.

Weighing 777lbs (352kgs), he wanted to feel better within himself and find someone he could share his life with.

But after years of hard work and living a healthier lifestyle, he managed to turn his life around and make his dreams come true.

At the age of 31, he'd lost 473lbs (214kgs) and returned to screens on My 600-lb Life: Where Are They Now? to share how his life had changed forever.

It all started when Joe met renowned weight loss surgeon Dr Younan Nowzaradan known as Dr Now.

Joe's first hurdle was losing over 100lbs (45kgs) to qualify for weight loss surgery. Even he admitted if he couldn't do that it would be his "last chance".

Joe, who hails from Tennessee in the USA, simply couldn't believe it when Dr Now approved him for the surgery that would change his life.

In the two years that followed Joe's surgery his life transformed drastically.

He'd lost an astonishing 402lbs (182kgs) and he'd struck up romance with a woman named Sarah whom he met online.

After Joe flew to meet Sarah in person the two were soon engaged and planning a wedding together.

"I could've never imagined that my life would be so much better in just two years," Joe reflected.

"I've gone from being trapped in my home all day long to being about to marry the woman of my dreams and being a father to her incredible eight-year-old daughter.

"I wouldn't have even dared to dream of what I have now."

Despite Joe's incredible transformation, he had more work to do with hopes of losing more weight in order to have excess skin surgery on his legs.

Not only was Joe focusing on that but his end goal was to get down to 225lbs (102kgs).
