DeGeneres was quick to mention how strong and lean the Hollywood A-lister was looking, and mentioned that while she knew he used to set his alarm for 4am to wake up and work out, Wahlberg now rises at an eye-watering 2.30am to get his daily sweat in.

"It started when I was in Europe. I was overseas and I'd come home to visit, and by the time the family went to bed I'd be up for the rest of the night," he added. "I'd usually go to bed about 5am and wake up about 12pm then work out and do all my stuff."

Wahlberg went on to say that while it seems as though the routine works for him, he plans to go back to a "normal" schedule when he finishes up his filming responsibilities.
