Kyle Sandilands drops explosive trailer for tell-all documentary after KIIS FM exit

Kyle Sandilands promised it’s “finally time to let everyone know what happened” in an explosive trailer for his tell-all docuseries, At Home With Kyle.

The clip, released on Friday afternoon, showed an emotional Sandilands, 55, sitting on a sofa as he recounted one of the darkest moments of his career: getting sacked from The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

“The last three months, there’s quite a lot to say. It didn’t just get intense, it got to the stage where it was dangerous,” he said.

Images of his former co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson then flashed up on-screen, and he began to get emotional as he explained what their relationship was like now.

“I sort have had to in my mind… close that chapter,” he said.

“This isn’t a taking sides thing. I’ll always love her. She’s like a sister to me, I wish her the best.”

Kyle Sandilands names Jaimee Blazquez as executive producer for his brand new show

It then showed him being reminded of how he used to joke that ARN could never fire him, to which he responded: “Now the joke’s on me. Here I am, f------ fired.”

The first episode of the docuseries is launching on Monday at 6pm on the Kyle Sandilands Live app – the same place where his new breakfast show will be showcased each morning.

A subscription to Sandilands’ new platform costs $99 annually, with no monthly option available at launch. His first breakfast episode will air on August 10.

It was announced on Thursday afternoon that beloved KIIS FM producer Jaimee Blazquez, better known as Producer Mayo, had signed on as the executive producer for his new project.

“Excited to share that I have stepped into the role of executive producer for @kylesandilandslive,” Blazquez captioned a photo of her and Sandilands standing arm-in-arm.

“I have loved working with Kyle for the past nine years and looking forward to continue working with him on this new venture!”

Back in June, when Sandilands announced he had a new show in the works, he said he’d “already scooped up those who got made redundant” amid the fallout from the show.

“I probably did [rehire staff] out of guilt but also because I like my crew and I want to make sure they’re okay,” he told Game Changers Radio.

“You know, someone’s engaged, someone’s pregnant. Everyone’s got their own life going on.”

In mid-July, Sandilands’ longtime manager and best mate Bruno Bouchet revealed all the details around Kyle Sandilands Live.

Appearing on the same podcast, Bouchet confirmed the show would launch on Monday, August 10 via Sandilands’ app.

“Instead of taking traditional calls like you would through mobiles and landlines, it’s all video calls and I think it’s going to be a fair bit of fun,” he said.

Bouchet confirmed that like a standard radio show, the show would also include music and a newsreader.

He said Sandilands was also keen to address “everything that has happened since February 20″, the date of his explosive on-air disagreement with former co-host  Henderson that blew up The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

Sandilands eventually settled with his previous employer ARN for $12 million over the termination of his reported $100 million contract.

As part of the settlement, ARN will provide Sandilands with “advertising services on ARN’s partner platforms”, worth $1.5 million over the next three years.

Henderson also launched a lawsuit against her former employer claiming compensation of at least $82.25 million and alleging that her termination was against the Fair Work Act.

It was revealed she will still proceed with the lawsuit, despite her former co-host settling.
