Exclusive: When Rodger Corser uploaded a shirtless photo of himself, “ripped” and off the back of a 12-week transformation, he wasn’t expecting the fan frenzy he received.
“I just want to reiterate this photo was taken a long, long time ago,” said the 53-year-old. “It’s a bit of clickbait,” he confessed. But all for a good cause.

“…umm I just want to clarify this was 2018!! 🤣,” Corser wrote under the Instagram photo after fans flooded the comments with surprised reactions to the star.
The Floor host is participating in Dry July for the first time in five years, where he has pledged to give up alcohol for the month while raise funds for charity.
The shirtless snap, taken during his mid-40s, served as a little reminder to Corser of “when you actually take your health seriously” – and a fun way to raise awareness for “much needed” cancer research and assistance.
“I was trying to sort of rustle a little bit of interest for Dry July,” he admitted. “It’s hard to raise donations in this sort of climate and there are a lot of worthy charities out there.
“I think like most Aussies, we’ve been touched in some way by cancer through a family member or friend and that’s certainly the case for me,” Corser explained.
The star revealed he’s had both cancer scares and cancer battles within his family.
And while he’s hoping to the beat the $5,000 he raised in 2021, Dry July this time around is a much more personal health journey, especially as a dad to four kids.

Corser shares three beautiful children with his wife Renae: son Budd and daughter Cilla who are in their early teens, and 10-year-old son Dustin.
The actor shares oldest daughter Zipporah from his previous relationship with singer Christine Anu.
“I’ve still got to run around and kick the footy, especially with my youngest one, he’s right into it, you know,” The Doctor Doctor star revealed.

“I’m sort of helping coach his school footy team, so I’ve got to maintain my body, like I was, probably 10 years younger.”
“But I may not reach the same heights as I was in 2018,” he confessed. “Maybe the version of that in my fifties.”
It will be a busy few months for Corser, who’s also prepping for the upcoming TV Week Logie Awards.
His hit game show The Floor has been officially nominated for the Most Popular Entertainment Program of 2026.
Corser credited the mammoth team behind the scenes who make the show (and cast of 81 contestants) possible.
“It’s madness,” he laughed as he explained the production side of things.

“I’ve got the easy bit, in fact, I’ve got the easiest job on non-scripted television because I’m probably the only game show host that doesn’t have to read out questions.”
“I get to chat with people, hear their stories, celebrate the victories and the close calls, then I walk off the side of the stage and watch the whole thing like everyone else,” the host humbly admitted.
Corser never imagined being a game show host.
“No, it probably wasn’t on my dance card five years ago when we wrapped up Doctor Doctor,” he revealed.
But once he dipped his toe into presenting, he realised it “wasn’t as scary as I thought”.
“When The Floor came up it was a big step-up,” he recalled.
“You bite off more than you can chew and chew like hell, and I mean, it seems to be working,” he laughed.
With two seasons in and a silver Logie nomination, it certainly does seem to be!
