Ally Langdon secures double Logie nomination, but reveals her kids are still her toughest critics
Exclusive: Ally Langdon holds one of the most respected journalism careers in the country, but at home, she might just face her toughest crowd yet – her kids.
Off the back winning the Logies′ Ray Martin Award for Most Popular News or Public Affairs Presenter in 2025, Langdon has secured back-to-back nominations for both the coveted Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality and the Ray Martin Award for the upcoming 66th TV Week Logies.

Reflecting on her Ray Martin Award win last year, the A Current Affair host admits the trophy has found a safe home in the office – firmly out of reach of her children Mack, nine, and Scout, seven.
Langdon jokingly revealed that her kids weren’t exactly floored by the prestigious accolade she took home in 2025, deadpanning to her at the time: “Oh, but you didn’t win the gold?”
They may get their wish this year with the ACA host holding out for the Gold Logie in 2026.
“It is incredibly special to stand up here and represent the team and particularly this year, it’s been a really busy one,” Langdon told nine.com.au of her double nomination.
“Obviously for ACA, which has my heart and soul, but also for the Winter Olympics and the election and Parental Guidance, so I’m representing the whole team here today.”
Langdon is nominated for the coveted Gold Logie alongside Todd Woodbridge, Julia Morris, Poh Ling Yeow, Sam Pang, Lisa Millar and Robert Irwin, who also happens to be hosting the August 16 event.

She was particularly excited for Irwin to be fronting the awards night.
“There’s just no such thing as too much Robert Irwin, so we’ll take him on stage hosting,” Langdon laughed.
“It’s great to have him, he’s known worldwide which is a great thing for the Logies and to have him nominated again, his second nomination also, is just really good fun.”
This year’s Logies ceremony is set to be a major event, celebrating 70 years of Australian broadcast television.
The ceremony will be held on Sunday, August 16, at The Star in Sydney.
