Ellidy Pullin reveals the truth about Brock Wadsworth’s unconventional proposal
Ellidy Pullin has revealed how daughter Minnie spoiled her surprise proposal in the cutest way, one month after announcing her engagement to Brock Wadsworth.
The Darling, Shine! Podcast host, 34, shared a video of the moment on Instagram on Wednesday with the caption: “And that was how the cookie accidentally crumbled.

“Best surprise ever, just us, up in the sky, no frills and no wifi, I am still on a big fat high from that moment I LOVE YOU @brockwad FOREVER!”
In the clip, Pullin can be seen sitting in a business class seat on a plane, wearing a skincare mask, and crying with a huge diamond on her left hand.
“You didn’t keep the secret,” Wadsworth accused Minnie before Pullin flashed the massive ring.
Pullin then turned the camera to herself and said: “Minnie just came up to me on the plane and said, ‘Can you marry broccoli,’ [nickname for Wadsworth] and he goes, ‘F--k, you blew it Minnie.’
“I’m so lost for words. If that’s not the most me and you and Minnie proposal. You’re so cute. You were gonna do it overseas and Minnie just blew it.”
The clip then cut to Wadsworth telling Minnie, “Me and mummy and you are all engaged!”
He then explained the full plan he had to surprise Pullin by popping the question on a special boat day on their holiday, but she seemed just as thrilled with the mid-air proposal.
Wadsworth joked with Minnie that he had made her pinky-promise not to say anything about the big surprise. Clearly, it didn’t work.

“I can’t believe I got down on one knee on a f--king airplane,” he laughed with Pullin, before revealing he’d had the ring stashed in his backpack all day.
Wadsworth also confirmed he’d asked Pullin’s brother for permission to marry her.
Pullin’s father Peter Vlug sadly passed away from glioblastoma in early 2022 and Wadsworth seemed to confirm Pullin’s brother will also walk her down the aisle when they eventually tie the knot.
“Minnie blew Brock’s surprise. I love that it unfolded like this hahaha,” Pullin captioned the video when she reshared it to her Instagram Stories.
“I mean look at me lol this situation deadset couldn’t be any more ME.”
Pullin and Wadsworth announced their engagement in early September, less than a year after she made their romance Instagram official.

The influencer was cautious about sharing their love story at first, as she admitted on her podcast there were times when she felt guilty for being so happy.
Pullin lost her partner of eight years Olympic snowboarder Alex “Chumpy” Pullin in 2020, when he tragically drowned while spearfishing on the Gold Coast.
She changed her surname to Pullin in his honour and welcomed their daughter, Minnie, 15 months later after falling pregnant via posthumous IVF.
