Crime fighting pup will be able tear you apart one day, but that day is not today

We know that police dogs are supposed to fight crime, but this puppy in training is so cute that it almost makes us want to break the law just to get its attention.

This German shepherd pup is learning the business of policing in Manchester, England.

But rather than inflicting fear in prospective robbers and vandals, this woofer is doing a little stealing of its own – stealing our hearts that is!

Inspector Tariq Butt filmed the little guy's progress and tweeted it, clocking up hundreds of likes in just a few hours.

And with most of the world either asleep or a little dusty after Australia Day, you can bet it's going to notch up thousands of views as Twitter users across the globe start to wake up/self-medicate with coffee.

One day this little woofer will be fierce and scary, but right now we would love to be attacked by this paw-lice officer.

Butt is an official authority man, who works in the Dogs and Mounted Unit of the Manchester Police Department.

We understand the guys in Butt's unit have serious jobs to do, but it looks like they have one of the most delightful workplaces on earth.
