Why did Brangelina miss George Clooney's wedding?

Brad Pitt better have a good excuse for missing his best friend's wedding.

While most of George Clooney's celeb circle were spotted at his star-studded nuptials in Venice, the 53-year-old's best friends Brad and wife Angelina Jolie were nowhere to be seen... despite earlier reports they'd be in attendance.

With Brangelina currently filming their first flick since Mr and Mrs Smith on the island of Malta, sources say the couple may have been stuck in the middle of production. Erm, isn't that what private jets are for?

Although we're not ones to speculate, George did miss Brangie's super-secret ceremony in France last month. Even now, guys?

Brad and Ange weren't the only one to miss George and Amal's nuptials at the Aman hotel. The couple's good pal Ben Affleck was said to be in the US promoting his new film Gone Girl, while the wedding was taking place.

Despite the celeb no-shows, supermodel Cindy Crawford, U2's Bono and actor Matt Damon all made appearances at the seven-star resort where the Hollywood heartthrob and his lawyer bride exchanged vows.
