Inside Victoria Beckham's star-studded 50th birthday party

Victoria Beckham was treated to a lavish star-studded affair to mark her 50th birthday, courtesy of her husband David Beckham.

The former soccer star spent a whopping £250,000 (approx. $481,958) on his wife's special day, which fell on Wednesday April 17.

Before the event, Victoria showed off how her family scrubbed up for the event, posting a series of family photos taken at home.

The Beckham gang lined up against the fireplace, with Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz all wearing Dior tuxes, while dad David wore Italian brand Loro Piana.

Victoria dressed herself and daughter Harper in her own range, picking a light green floor length gown for herself - accesorised with a pair of crutches, since she still hasn't recovered from her broken foot – and a white satin camisole-type dress for Harper, which matched her brother Cruz's white tux.

"Can't wait to celebrate with my friends and family! I love you all so much," she wrote in the caption.

The guests of honour of the night were the Spice Girls, with the birthday bash bringing about a reunion. Mel B wore a striking red dress to the affair, while Mel C and Emma Bunton took a cute video of themselves before the event and posted it to Instagram.

Geri Halliwell, who made an appearance following her husband Christian Horner's sexting scandal, arrived wearing a signature white dress but this time by Australian designer Rebecca Vallance.

In a video posted to Posh Spice's Instagram, The Spice Girls reunited for a rendition of Stop Right Now at the party, which was filmed by David Beckham.

Taking place at private members' club Oswald's in London's Mayfair, the approximately 100 A-Listers partied until the early morning,

Other guests included Salma Hayek, Eva Longoria, Gordon and Tana Ramsay, Jason Statham and wife Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Guy Ritchie, dancer Marc Anthony, former Vogue editor Edward Enninful, and more.

The one guest no one was expecting, however, was Tom Cruise. The 61-year-old made an entrance, bumping into a photographer and bowling him over, but the Mission Impossible star helped the man up before spending the night partying.

It's reported that refreshments included £3,000 (approx. $5,783.51) bottles of Victoria's favourite wine, Chateau Mouton Rothschild, were served, as well as £500 (approx. $963) bottles of champagne and a huge birthday cake.

David also took the chance to pay tribute to his wife in front of their friends and family, with an inside source telling The Sun, "there wasn't a dry eye in the house" as he lovingly praised and even made jokes about his wife.

"David really splashed the cash. He wanted it to be extra-special for her after she always makes such an effort for everyone else," the source added.
