The Weeknd announces new Australian tour dates after leaving fans devastated with shock cancellation
Months ago fans were left devastated when The Weeknd announced that his Australian tour was cancelled.
As the weeks went by, fans began to question if the Often singer – whose real name is Abel Tesfaye – would ever reschedule, with many worried he'd forgotten about his Australian fans.
Thankfully, Tesfaye has now reassured us he hasn't forgotten, announcing four new dates for his Australian tour.

"AUSTRALIA, I didn't forget about you 🖤 See you in October. Ticket presale Aug 22," the singer wrote in an Instagram post made early Monday morning.
The After Hours Dusk Til Dawn stadium tour will have four stops across two Australian cities in October.
The Weeknd will play Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on October 5 and 6, then taking a few weeks off before heading to Sydney for two nights at Accor Stadium on October 22 and 23.
To access presale tickets, fans will need to register on The Weeknd's website. Presale tickets for Sydney shows will go live at 1 PM AEST on Thursday August 22, and Melbourne fans will get the chance to secure their tickets at 2 PM that same day.
At the beginning of November 2023, The Weeknd shocked fans when he announced that his Australian tour was postponed due to "unforseen circumstances."
The singer was set to take to the stage just weeks later, kicking off his tour on November 20 with two shows in Brisbane, two in Melbourne and two in Sydney.
He confirmed new dates would be announced in 2024, however on April 23, he instead announced the Australian leg of the tour was now cancelled.

Ticketek sent out an email to ticketholders explaining full refunds would be issued to everyone as the company continued to "work through the rescheduling process with the artist".
That means anyone who managed to secure tickets the first time around to The Weeknd's sold out tour will now have to reenter the ticket war to have the chance to see the Blinding Lights singer live.
