Hamish Blake's 'honest' confession on the Logie Awards red carpet

It may be the most star-studded event on the Australian calendar, but Hamish Blake had only one person on his mind when asked who he was most excited to share a drink with at the TV Week Logie Awards.

"Oh, I mean, we don't drink a lot as parents," Blake told Married At First Sight's Evelyn Ellis, who was reporting from the red carpet for 9honey, with a chuckle.

"So Zoe," he said gesturing to his wife Zoe Foster Blake, who was by his side. "Zoe, to be honest."

As parents to two little ones - Sonny, nine, and Rudy, six – the famous mum and dad duo rarely have the chance to kick back.

Of course, Blake would make an exception for his best mate Andy Lee if The Hundred host managed to win the Gold Logie.

Blake has taken home the top gong twice – first in 2012, then again in 2022 – and told Ellis he's got his fingers crossed for Lee at this years' awards.

"It feels like enough to be honest," he said of having two Gold Logies of his own, "I would love to see Ando begin his collection tonight."

Lee arrived at the Logies with fiancee Rebecca Harding, who gave him a special gift before they hit the red carpet together.

"I've got these lucky gold glasses on that Bec bought me as a little gift," Lee told Ellis on the red carpet.

"And through the lenses, everything actually looks like gold. So basically, no matter what happens, I'll be going home with something gold in my hand."

Lee continued, "It might just be a white napkin to everyone else, but something golden to me."
