The Offspring’s lead guitarist Kevin ‘Noodles’ Wasserman has announced he’s stepping back from performing due to a sudden health issue just days after hitting the stage.
Wasserman shared the sad news in a joint Instagram post, with the legendary rock band’s account and said he hoped to be back on stage soon.

“It is with deep sadness that I have to announce that I need to step away from live performances for a while to deal with a sudden and fairly serious health issue,” he wrote.
“The rest of the band has my back, is super supportive, and will keep rocking you all in my absence. I hope to be back on stage sooner rather than later. Until then, I will miss all of you with all of my heart.
“Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts. I really appreciate it.”
He did not share any additional details about the health issue he’s currently facing.
Fans and fellow musicians flooded the post with messages of love and support, many of them wishing Wasserman a speedy recovery.
Simple Plan lead vocalist and bassist Pierre Bouvier wrote, “Hope you’re OK brother. Sending love and positivity. You’re a legend… you got this.”
Wasserman was a founding member of The Offspring, joining vocalist Bryan ‘Dexter’ Holland, bassist Greg ‘K’ Kriesel, and drummer James Lilja when the rock unit formed in the mid-80s.
The lineup changed several times through the band’s long stint in the spotlight and now consists of Wasserman, Holland, bassist Todd Morse, drummer Brandon Pertzborn, and Jonah Nimoy on multiple instruments.

They last played in San Diego on October 18, though fans had no clue it would be Wasserman’s last time on stage before this break for his health.
The Offspring are still touring and are slated to perform in Los Angeles this weekend, followed by shows in Las Vegas and Mexico City in November.
The band is also scheduled to appear at the iHeartRadio ALTer Ego 2027 festival in Los Angeles on January 16.
It’s unclear if Wasserman will be back on stage by then.
