NRL grand final act confirmed after headliner Teddy Swims cancelled shows days prior
NRL fans can breathe a sigh of relief ahead of the Grand Final on Sunday.
After a few days of uncertainty, headlining act Teddy Swims, 33, will officially be performing at the event despite being forced to cancel two earlier gigs due to sickness.
The NRL confirmed that the singer will be front and centre stage as the Brisbane Broncos take on the Melbourne Storm at Stadium Australia.

When asked by nine.com.au if Teddy Swims would still be performing, Glenn Jackson, General Manager Media and Communications for the NRL, said: "Absolutely."
Jackson said he certainly understood concerns over Swims after he cancelled shows in Hawaii due to vocal problems, but added: "We've been saying for days he's coming."

"Honolulu, I'm so sorry to let you know that both tonight's show (Saturday Sept 27th) and tomorrow's (Sunday Sept 28th) rescheduled performance will not be taking place," he wrote.
"My doctor has not cleared me to sing, and I need a little more time to recover before I can give you the show you deserve."
Fans were reassured all tickets would be refunded.
"I hate to disappoint you and truly apologise for letting you down," he continued. "Thank you for your love, patience, and understanding.
"I can't wait until I'm back and able to sing for you again."
The move left fans worried he might not be able to take to the stage this weekend for the NRL Grand Final, but we now know that isn't the case.
The Grammy nominated, multi-platinum chart-topping superstar is set to perform on the biggest night of rugby league this weekend on October 5 at Accor Stadium at 7.30pm.
He is also the headline act for NRLW Grand Final being held earlier in the day between the Sydney Roosters and the Brisbane Broncos at 4pm.
Swims reportedly walked off stage at a recent concert after two songs after losing his voice and didn't return.
He then cancelled his remaining shows.
Swims is a Grammy nominated, multi-platinum chart-topping superstar, best known for his hits like Lose Control and Bad Dreams.

Swims said in a statement he was "so excited to be performing at the 2025 NRL Grand Final! Australia has always been a second home to me".
"Every time I am there I am overwhelmed by how welcoming the people are, I fall more in love with the culture, and just everything about it.
"So, to be welcomed to perform one of the biggest nights in Australia is a huge honour."
