'We didn't know what we were doing': Selena Gomez shares the sweet story of how she first met Taylor Swift
This has to be one of our favourite friendships in the celebrity world.
Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift have been besties for as long as we can remember, so long we've actually never thought to ask how the pair met.
Thankfully, podcast host Jake Shane asked the question and we're simply obsessed with the answer.

Speaking with Shane on his Therapuss podcast, Gomez revealed she and Swift first met about 16 years ago when they were both dating the Jonas brothers – it makes a lot of sense now that we think about it.
"I dated Nick and she dated Joe. And everything was – it was cute, we were young," Gomez chuckled.

Despite the somewhat messy breakups and several gut-wrenching songs written about one another (we're looking at you, Last Kiss), Gomez said the group "all know and love each other now".
"We didn't know what we were doing," Gomez said.
"[Taylor] and I like to say the best thing we got out of those relationships was each other."
At the time they met, Gomez was around 15 years old while Swift was around 18, with the Only Murders in the Building star recalling it was during Swift's "crazy curly" era that they were first introduced.
"She had all these bracelets that went all the way up. I believe Love Story was the first song she had ever played me and it wasn't released yet," Gomez recalled.
"I was in a hotel room and I remember it vividly, it was just one of those songs I instantly heard and thought this is one of the most beautiful songs ever."
The pair became "best friends" as teenagers after having "bonded over the breakup" and haven't looked back since.

"I don't know... we just stuck around for all the ups and downs that came after and here we are now 16 years later," Gomez said.
"She is a chameleon, she's incredible."
