Taylor Swift fans have once again proven there are absolutely no lengths they won't go to for their idol.

Months after the mayhem that was the great war to secure tickets to the Australian leg of her Eras Tour – muddied by a millions-strong shortfall in supply and half a billion thwarted bots – Aussie Swifties who nabbed a seat at one of her seven local shows and those who missed out will today experience an equaliser.

It may not be until 6pm that Swift's The Eras Tour concert film officially hits cinemas Down Under, but that doesn't mean much to many, with some eager fans already having taken their seats in theatres more than 12 hours before the first showings.

As reported by Today's Melbourne reporter and 'Chief Swiftie Correspondent' Izabella Staskowski this morning, some fans – already sitting in their local Hoyts theatre in costumes – waited in line for 19 hours to nab tickets to the show.

And, in Sydney, IMAX cinema has re-opened seven long years after closing its doors just in time for the premiere.

The Australian rollout of The Eras Tour film comes one day after its premiere in the United States, with Swift herself attending the glitzy Los Angeles showing – alongside a very special guest.

Alongside thousands of dedicated fans, stars and influencers, Beyoncé, fresh off her own blockbuster Renaissance World Tour, made a shock appearance at The Grove in California, sitting for the hours-long showing alongside Swift.

Swift may have been the reason for the event, but that didn't stop her from gushing about the Single Ladies singer to her 274 million Instagram followers and thanking her for attending the premiere.

"I'm so glad I'll never know what my life would've been like without [Beyoncé's] influence," she wrote alongside a video of the duo sitting together in the cinema.

"The way she's taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms. Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility," Swift continued.

"She's been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale. 😇🙏🥹".
