Tammy Hembrow breaks down as she makes rare comment on ‘humiliating’ divorce

Tammy Hembrow has broken down while speaking about her “humiliating” divorce from ex-husband and former Love Island star, Matt Zukowski.

The Aussie influencer, 32, teared up as she unpacked the aftermath of their split during Sunday’s episode of Shark saying: “It was a very public marriage, and then it was a very public divorce, over a very short time span, which sort of just adds to the humiliation I guess.”

The former couple tied the knot in November 2024 in a lavish wedding at Byron Bay’s Chateau Du Soleil, but announced their split in June 2025 after just seven months of marriage.

The mother-of-three admitted on the show that she has been “trying to find herself again” after their split and said she intends to make the most out of each day, declaring: “My life is mine.”

In the episode, after her first cage-free shark dive, Hembrow reflected on what a life-changing experience it had been with her co-stars Lynne McGranger and Ariarne Titmus.

Co-star McGranger asked her: “If there was one lesson you’ve learned that you think you could go forward with, what would that be?”

“Going through a divorce and everything like that, I hate talking about it so much, but it really changed my perception of myself,” she admitted to her co-stars.

“I have been dealing with a lot in my personal life going through a divorce and I’ve sort of been trying to find myself again and find things that I enjoy,” she told cameras.

“I’m just going to live my life to the fullest every day. I don’t care what anyone else thinks”.

“Dealing with any break-up is already really difficult, so doing that in the public eye and having all the outside noise on top of that just makes it a lot to deal with.

“Trying to be a mum on top of that, show up every day for my kids it was really hard.”

But she shared just how far she’s come, revealing that at one stage during their marriage breakdown, she “didn’t even want to leave the house”.

“There was a period of time when I didn’t even want to leave the house and now I’m in the Bahamas. Life goes on and you’ve got to make the most of it.”

Hembrow described her time on Shark as the “reset” she needed, saying it had given her a “new lease on life”.

“I’m excited to show my kids and tell them all about this.”

After news of their divorce surfaced, Zukowski addressed the shock split on his podcast, Where’s Your Head At?

“There is no easy way for me to say this and to speak about it. I’m absolutely shattered to announce it, to be honest, but at the end of the day, we weren’t right for each other,” he said.

“...But I feel like the main thing I’m focusing on now is healing myself. And coming out with a better understanding of myself and life.”

The pair first started dating in September 2023.

Last year, Hembrow shared a video of herself crying and shared an empowering message to fans about finding the light at the end of the tunnel, no matter what they’re going through.

Now, Hembrow is dating model and actor Grayson Te Moana, 23, with the pair recently making things Instagram official.
