Bad Bunny's Super Bowl half time performance was truly one for the books.

The star-studded spectacle was by no means lacking in political references, social commentary or surprise celebrity cameos – however it was one particular moment, as a couple appeared to wed mid-show, that truly captured audiences' hearts.

And now, reps for the Puerto Rican performer have confirmed that the wedding scene in question was not staged for entertainment value – but in fact an actual, real couple tying the knot.

And in that moment, Santa Clara's Levi's Stadium transformed into a 75 thousand-strong wedding celebration.

The heart-warming display, viewed by over 100 million people across the globe, was an unexpected addition to Bad Bunny's expansive performance – and as it turns out, it came about through one single, far-fetched request from the newlyweds in question.

The featured pair, according to NBC Sports reporter Rohan Nadkarni, were actually fans of Bad Bunny, having initially reached out to the singer to invite him to their wedding ceremony.

In an unexpected twist, Bad Bunny then reportedly did them one better – inviting them to be a central fixture in his history-making halftime performance.

Bad Bunny, who was announced as Super Bowl LX halftime headliner last September, teased during a recent press conference that the mid-game show would be a "huge party," while also serving to showcase his Puerto Rican heritage.

This already euphoric moment preceded the sudden appearance by none other than pop megastar Lady Gaga, who broke into a rendition of her and Bruno Mars' hit song Die with a Smile.

The halftime show also saw no shortage of additional celebrity guests, including cameos from rapper Cardi B, actor Pedro Pascal, Ricky Martin and more.
