Influencer Alix Earle responds to claim her Super Bowl halftime show cameo was 'undeserved'

Bad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime show was a star-studded affair – and viewers have had a lot to say about the celebrities who were included.

Influencer Alix Earle joined stars including Jessica Alba, Pedro Pascal, Cardi B and Karol G on stage, dancing in the background during the Puerto Rican megastar's performance.

Now, Earle – who came second to Robert Irwin in last year's season of Dancing With The Stars US – has responded to suggestions she didn't 'deserve' her cameo.

Numerous comments on a video the content creator, 25, shared on TikTok after the show questioned why she was included.

"Should have given that spot to a Latin influencer," one person wrote, while another said, "You had ZERO business there."

Many commenters called out Earle's silence on the actions of ICE, the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

This is an issue Bad Bunny has been vocal on, including at last week's Grammys where he began his Album of the Year acceptance speech with, "Before I say thanks to God, I'm going to say ICE out."

"The audacity to say yes to being on that stage while staying silent… be so for real," one person wrote on Earle's video.

"You've never once used your platform and voice for the messages bad bunny sends. This is unbelievable and undeserved," another said.

Earle responded to the latter message, writing, "I have 💗 and being invited to do this was such an incredible experience and so special."

Some commenters have defended the influencer, saying she has posted about ICE on her social platforms.

"I see a lot of strong reactions to this, and while I may not agree with all of them, I think it's worth remembering that Bad Bunny invited her for a reason," one reasoned.

"To me, that alone sends a message. I just wish we leaned more into unity and love instead of tearing each other down."

On Instagram, Earle said it was "beyond unreal" to experience Bad Bunny's show, with its "pure love and joy", in real life.

"What a beautiful thing to have so many people from all over come together and celebrate life, family, love, culture, and unity," she wrote.
