Spotify announces most streamed songs of the decade

We could probably sit here and argue all day about what the best song of the decade is, but Spotify has gone and done the hard work for us, releasing its "Wrapped" list of 2019 — and the last 10 years.

While rappers across the globe dominated many of the categories, it was also a big year for the women of music. For the first time in history, a female-led album has topped "Wrapped", and local star Tones And I scored big closer to home, following her major scoop at the recent ARIA Awards.

So, what songs and artists are we really hitting repeat on when we're getting ready in the mornings?  

THE DECADE

Most streamed artist: Drake, with 28 billion streams, followed by Ed Sheeran, Post Malone, Ariana Grande and Eminem

Most streamed song: 'Shape Of You' by Ed Sheeran, with more than 2.3 billion streams

2019

Most streamed artist: Post Malone, with more than 6.5 billion streams, followed by Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande
