Sienna Miller’s ‘regret’ after 14-year-old daughter’s surprise red carpet appearance

Don’t expect Sienna Miller to turn her red carpets into a family affair again, after expressing “regret” following a surprise appearance with her 14-year-old daughter.
Photos of the Anatomy of a Scandal star, 44, and her daughter, Marlowe Sturridge, at the London premiere of her new series War quickly made their way around the world last week.

Fans raved about Marlowe’s cool red carpet style in a casual vintage t-shirt and black midi skirt, but Miller said the moment was not planned and unlikely to happen again.
“Honestly, she came with her friend, my mum was there and for five seconds at the end she came and gave me a hug,” Miller explained on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle.
“I don’t think any one of us anticipated what would happen.”
Miller, who welcomed Marlowe with ex Tom Sturridge in 2012, said she didn’t love how much attention the teen got from the photos.
“I felt, I think, like it was not a great thing for her at this point in her life,” Miller said.
“She’s so young, and she is so beautiful, but she’s much more interestingly incredibly clever and kind and funny. I just think whether the attention is positive or negative, being aware of that level of attention at that age is not good.”
Miller joked her daughter “wants to be locked up now” after accidentally attracting such a spotlight.
On SiriusXM’s The Julia Cunningham Show, Miller said she “somewhat regret it because I didn’t expect, and I don’t think she expected that that would have the response that it got”.

Marlowe is Miller’s eldest child.
She is also mother to two children with her actor boyfriend, Oli Green: a two-year-old daughter and four-month-old son.
Marlowe made her red carpet debut as an 11-year-old to support her mother at 2024’s Cannes Film Festival.
That same year, Miller praised Marlowe as “a little fashion monster” in an interview with The Guardian.
“She’s so stylish. And very critical. She’s like a young Anna Wintour in her total disdain for some of the things I wear,” she said.
