Angelina Jolie's daughter Shiloh publicly announces intention to drop 'Pitt' from name
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's daughter Shiloh has taken the next step in her name-changing journey.
The 18-year-old announced her intention to drop "Pitt" from her name in a Los Angeles newspaper.
The teenager published an announcement in the Los Angeles Times, announcing that she had filed to change her name to "Shiloh Jolie."

This completes the next step in California's name change process.
A per California law, before a judge can approve a name-change petition, the person requesting it must have the legal forms published in the newspaper for one month.
After publishing it, the request will show up in the legal notice section of the paper.
Shiloh filed the paperwork on May 27, which happens to be the exact date of her 18th birthday.
She is the latest of her siblings to want to drop their father's surname from their name, with her younger sister Vivienne, 15, seeming to do the same just days beforehand– albeit casually.
According to People, the teenager, 15, went by the name Vivienne Jolie and not Vivienne Jolie-Pitt on the theatre booklet for the new Broadway show The Outsiders, that her and her actress mother worked on.

Late last year, their eldest daughter, Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, also dropped 'Pitt' from her name during her Spelman College sorority induction.
In a clip posted to Instagram the young star can be seen standing in front of her fellow Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority sisters and performing her induction.
"My name is Zahara Marley Jolie," the 18-year-old said at the time, "And [I] landed all the way from the Golden State in the city full of angels: Los Angeles, California."
Angelina and ex-husband Brad Pitt share Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 17, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 15, together.
