'Glad somebody captured it': Shania Twain suffers hilarious on-stage gaffe as she sings into a drumstick

Canadian singer Shania Twain is a seasoned performer, having spent years in the music industry.

But during a recent performance, the Man! I Feel Like A Woman! hitmaker, 58, suffered a hilarious gaffe while performing for fans.

Twain was singing (If You're Not in It for Love) I'm Outta Here when she accidentally tried singing into a drumstick she was holding rather than her microphone.

Twain shared a fan video of the moment, which was originally shared on TikTok, on her Instagram.

"I'm really glad somebody captured this moment, it's made me laugh all over again," she wrote in her post.

In the video, Twain sings into the drumstick and then quickly realises her mistake, before swapping to the microphone, and then bending down and laughing.

"That shows she is really singing on live," Twain wrote.

One fan praised the singer for being "unapologetically herself".

"We love that you don't take yourself too seriously to have a little fun!" one fan commented.

The hitmaker recently announced her new Las Vegas residency for 2024.

Seven months ago, members of Twain's touring crew were rushed to hospital after a tour bus crash in Canada, representatives of the singer confirmed to People.

According to the publication, the shocking accident took place on a highway due "to dangerous driving conditions" caused by "inclement weather".

Twain was not onboard at the time but she and her team were determined to "look after our touring family".

Twain recently had her own health battle and told The Mirror she feared for her survival after developing pneumonia while battling COVID-19 at her home on the banks of Lake Geneva in Switzerland.

"It was progressively getting worse. My vital signs were getting worse… and in the end I had to be air evacuated," she shared.
