Selena Gomez spills new wedding details and reveals why she wore three designer gowns to marry Benny Blanco

Selena Gomez has opened up about her intimate nuptials with fellow musician Benny Blanco.

The 33-year-old Love You Like a Love Song singer appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show this week and revealed she actually wore three bridal gowns for her big day.

And all of the creations were from the Ralph Lauren design house.

Explaining why she wore three different looks on her big day and shared some images with fans, she said: "I tried to do this sneaky thing... I didn't want anyone to get photos of my wedding unless it was from me, and I keep my life as private as I can."

The first was a white halterneck silk dress which she wore for a wedding ''first look," another was a halterneck all-lace design which appeared to be for the ceremony, and the third dress was a shorter white gown for the reception, where she went barefoot and let her hair down.

"So that dress was initially for the look and this one was made by Ralph Lauren, they all were," Gomez went on.

Gomez, who previously dated Justin Bieber in the past, said her second look, the lace gown, was her absolute favourite.

"But this was my favourite dress. It was a dream," she said of the gown.

The pair married on September 27, at the lush Sea Crest Nursery in Santa Barbara surrounded by around 170 family and friends according to Vogue.

Mandy Teefy, Gomez's mum, also shared some insight into the big day and revealed a sweet detail about it.

In her own post in the days after the celebrations, she revealed who walked her daughter down the aisle.

"It was a fairytale come true and it was beyond heartwarming watching my father walk her down the aisle!!! XO," Teefey, 49, wrote in the caption of an Instagram post, referring to Gomez's grandfather, David Michael Cornett.

In December, Gomez announced her engagement to Blanco, whose real name is Benjamin Joseph Levin.

"Forever begins now," she wrote at the time, showing off her stunning diamond ring.

"Yes I will be the flower girl," her best friend Taylor Swift remarked in the comments on the Instagram post.

Before the wedding, Gomez celebrated her hens and Bachelorette at a beachside location.
