Sam and Phoebe Burgess sell Maroubra home

Sam and Phoebe Burgess have sold their Maroubra home in Sydney for five million dollars, three months after their split.

The ex-South Sydney Rabbitohs star, 31 and his ex-wife split in October 2019 after a trial separation in April. Sam and Phoebe purchased the house in 2016 for $3.8 million dollars, meaning they've made a $1.2 million dollar profit on the property. They reportedly sold their home in late December last year.

The Burgess' share two children together, Poppy Alice, who was born in 2017 and their second child, Billy, born in 2018, less than a month after they split.

The Burgess' former family home had four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a triple underground garage. There's also a large backyard and pool and is located close to the beach. Celebrity neighbours including Guy and Jules Sebastian also live in the suburb.

Sam had been issued an AVO in December 2019 and was banned from approaching his father-in-law after he allegedly intimidated him in October after a dispute at their home.

Sam and Phoebe married in 2015 on her family's property in Bowral after meeting in 2014. The couple was rocked by a sexting scandal when Phoebe was six months pregnant, after a woman claimed the rugby star was sending her crude photos over social media.

Burgess ended his 12-year-long NRL career last year due to a shoulder injury. Since the split Phoebe has been staying with her parents in Bowral, in the Southern Highlands while Sam has been rumoured to be renting in Coogee.
