Ryan Reynolds expertly trolls wife Blake Lively after 'unrecognisable' on-set makeover

Let's be real: Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are keeping the love alive in Hollywood.

Not only are they refreshingly honest about issues around work and family life, but they don't take themselves too seriously, either.

And it's no secret that one of their biggest appeals is their joint ability to roast each other.

From sending each other hilarious birthday wishes on Twitter, to sarcastically praising the other person's talents, it's clear the parents to daughters Ines, 14 months, and James, 2, are experts at trolling.

Ryan, 41, kindly reminded us of his skills this week.

On Tuesday, 30-year-old Blake was photographed on the Dublin set of her new movie, The Rhythm Section, in which she stars alongside Jude Law.

The film tells the story of a woman seeking revenge against those who orchestrated a plane crash that killed her family, and Blake's in-character look is very different from her usual girl-next-door vibe.

Tabloids were quick to publish the images, labelling the actress "unrecognisable", and it wasn't long before Ryan decided to chime in on the noise himself.

The Deadpool star shared the image of his wife on set to Instagram and accompanied it with the perfect simple caption: "#nofilter."

Naturally, fans of the couple loved it.

"Omg I can’t with them," one person commented.

While another wrote, "Love their relationship."

We can't wait to see how Blake repays the gesture.
