'Married At First Sight' groom Ryan Gallagher says Sophie Monk is his 'ideal girl'

He's about to enter into an arranged marriage of sorts, but it seems this Married At First Sight groom has a particular type of woman in mind.

Sydney-based tradie Ryan Gallagher, who you might've spotted running along a beach (topless) in one of the MAFS Season 5 promos, says his dream bride is a no-fuss, "ugg boot-wearing" lady.

"My ideal girl is Sophie Monk," the 29-year-old tells TheFIX. "I love a girl that's just herself, and who doesn't have to wear makeup all the time."

He adds: "I don't like fake girls -- never have -- never will."

Gallagher offers that when it comes to appearances, he could take or leave a woman with cosmetic work.

"I don't like the lips done -- I don't even like the fake [breasts]," he says. "I just want a girl who's comfortable in herself and owns it."

He continues: "Soph's got a few fake things. If she drops those she'd be perfect."  

With 38-year-old Monk happily coupled up with her suitor Stu Laundy, it seems Gallagher may need to shift his expectations.

The good news? Gallagher already has a fan in former MAFS bride, and newly single, Alene Khatcherian.

The 31-year-old Sydney nurse left a rather suggestive comment on the official Married At First Sight Instagram account back in December, after they shared a clip of the Season 5 single.  

"Hey he is HoTz!" Khatcherian wrote on the video, shattering any hope we had of her reuniting with her Season 4 MAFS groom, Simon McQuillan.

To borrow an old phrase: Love is a cruel game.
