Rove McManus joining <i>The Project</i> 'as a member of the regular team'

Rove McManus is heading back to Network Ten as guest co-host of The Project.

The network announced today that the 40-year-old will begin his four month stint on the panel show on August 18, wrapping up in December 2014.

"It was fantastic being back doing live TV with Carrie and Pete in May," Rove said. "And I couldn't resist the opportunity to return and co-host again for a few months. Plus I think I left my phone charger in the dressing room.

"It will be great to be able to be part of The Project for the remainder of 2014 as member of the regular team. Everyone involved does such a tremendous job putting the show together and even better for me, I'm essentially working with friends every day."

This new move for the Aussie star sees him reuniting with fellow Rove alumni Pete Helliar and Carrie Bickmore, after his improv show Riot was recently axed in the US.
