Roseanne Barr is 'disgusted' at the support for fired 'Guardians of the Galaxy' director James Gunn

Roseanne Barr has weighed in on the sudden firing of Disney director James Gunn and she wants the world to know she is not happy.

Despite being dumped from his film, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, over unearthed jokes about pedophilia and rape he had tweeted a decade ago, Gunn was still being shown some love in Hollywood -- and Barr is calling out the double standard.

"I'm disgusted to read all of the support for James Gunn's pedophile jokes-as the same people supported blacklisting me for a joke they didn't even understand," the 65-year-old tweeted yesterday.

In May, US network ABC fired Barr from her namesake show, Roseanne, over her racist tweet about Valerie Jarrett, in which the actress said the former senior White House advisor looked like a cross between the Muslim Brotherhood and the Planet of the Apes.

Meanwhile, Gunn's insensitive tweets from 10 years ago have recently resurfaced, where the Marvel director reportedly wrote in one, "The best thing about being raped is when you're done being raped" and tweeted in another, "I like when little boys touch me in my silly place."

Although both Barr and Gunn, 51, were shown the door after their Twitter comments, many industry peers, such as actress Selma Blair and former WWE star Dave Bautista, were quick to defend Gunn, while Barr got little, if any, support.

No doubt adding to Barr's rage is the fact that a change.org petition to 'Re-Hire James Gunn' has gone viral, attracting close to 283,000 signatures so far. The Grey director, Joe Carnahan, even retweeted the petition.

Guardians Guardians of the Galaxy stars, including Zoe Saldana and Chris Pratt, have also urged people to be cautious before casting the first stone.
