'I am pumped': Ricki-Lee revealed as Kate Ritchie's replacement on Nova Drive show

Ricki-Lee Coulter is joining Nova's national Drive show as a host following Kate Ritchie's departure from the role.

Nova Entertainment announced on Thursday the singer and broadcaster would be joining Tim Blackwell and Joel Creasey on the show, now called Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel.

"I love Tim and Joel like the brothers I never had but always wanted, and I have been having so much fun in the studio with them – they are the best in the business," Coulter said in a statement.

"I have so much love for Kate and I'm so happy I've been able to help out on the Drive show over the last year. I am pumped to be officially joining the Nova family!"

The news comes as Ritchie announced she was leaving her post on the Drive show.

Formerly Kate, Tim & Joel, the show has been number one for 46 national radio surveys since 2012. The team have also been recognised with 11 Australian Commercial Radio Awards.

"I wish Ricki-Lee all the luck in the world. I'm thrilled to be taking on an exciting new challenge and I can't wait to share what I'm doing next," Ritchie said.

Coulter, a multi-platinum selling and ARIA-nominated singer and songwriter, became a household name when she was discovered on Australian Idol in 2004.

Both Blackwell and Creasey have welcomed the news of Coulter joining the Drive team.

"Is there anything this girl can't do? We're so stoked that Ricki can fit us in around her current schedule of 'world domination'," they said in the release.

"Her energy gets us all up and about each and every day... fingers crossed we can both keep up. "
