First look at the 'Queer Eye' Australian special, where the Fab Five made over a local in Yass

The Queer EyeQueer Eye touched down in Australia this week. Their first stop? Yass, the small country town in NSW.

Jonathan Van Ness, Tan France, Bobby Berk, Antoni Porowski and Karamo Brown went straight to Yass (population 6,506, according to the 2016 census) to film a special local mini-makeover -- or "make-better," as they like to say -- to help promote the second season of their hit show.

The lucky recipient was George, a cattle farmer and former rodeo cowboy, while the local pub was also given a much-needed makeover, with the bistro getting refurnished and a new signature dish added to the menu.

The Aussie special won't actually air as part of the second season -- it will be released on social channels on Netflix's social channels on June 22 --, but the guys have promised more diversity in the follow-up to their successful first season. One of the episodes will focus on a woman for the first time ever, while another will see the Fab Five "make better" a trans man.

The Yass special made such an impact on the town that the Mayor of Yass presented the Fab Five with tiaras, so they were officially YASS QUEENS.

And the effort the team went to to make this happen has not been lost on fans.

Queer Eye Season 2 will drop on Netflix on June 15.
