'Excited for this next chapter': Prince Jackson announces his engagement to long-time partner Molly Schirmang

Prince Jackson has proposed to his long-time girlfriend, Molly Schirmang.

The eldest of Michael Jackson's three children shared the news in a sweet post on Instagram alongside a heartfelt message to his new fiancée.

The 28-year-old shared a series of snaps from throughout their relationship as he shared the news of their engagement.

"Eight years down ♾️ [infinity] to go. Molly and I have spent a lot of time together and made incredible memories," he wrote. 

"We've travelled the world, graduated and grown so much together. I'm excited for this next chapter in our lives as we continue to grow and make great memories. I love you babs." 

The first snap showed Prince and Molly in a park together kissing, flashing the new ring on her left hand. 

He also shared some photos of them together, including hiking, kayaking and one from their college graduation.

The sweetest image was of himself and his bride-to-be seated on a bench with his grandmother Katherine Jackson, 95, outside of Hayvenhurst, the longtime Jackson family compound in Encino, California.

In a touching move, the a carousel of images set to his late father's 1987 single, I Just Can't Stop Loving You.

The post has been flooded with messages of congratulations and support for the couple, wishing them all the best for this new chapter of their lives.

Prince has kept his romantic life mostly out of the media spotlight, rarely posting about his relationship with Molly.

He has however, spoken out about preserving the memory of his late father, who died in 2009.

"I have photos of him and the uncles inside my house," Prince told E! News' Francesca Amiker in 2022. "I have artistic paintings of him around my house."

But perhaps more importantly, Prince continues to integrate the principles he learned from the King of Pop into his daily life.

"I like to lead my life with love, which is what he taught me," he explained. "I try to help at least one person a day and I feel like that is a way of continuing his legacy."
