Presley Gerber suffered an apparent overdose as new details surrounding his death revealed

Presley Gerber’s ex-girlfriend Charlotte D’Alessio is “very angry” over the death of the young model, as new details surrounding his passing have been revealed.

The model son of Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber went into cardiac arrest before his death, according to new details in a leaked 911 call.

D’Alessio led the touching tributes following Gerber’s passing, sharing an emotional message to her Instagram.

“Shared a pure love with you & for that I thank & honor your life,” she wrote alongside photos of memories they shared together.

“You deserved more time. You deserved more life. Very angry [about] this,” she said. “Love you Pres. always. Up there, down here. don’t ever doubt that we all love you so much. I hope you can feel it.”

Mum Cindy Crawford was “inconsolable” about her only son’s shock passing, a source revealed to Page Six.

“She’s absolutely devastated. This is every parent’s worst nightmare, and the family is still trying to process everything that happened,” the source claimed.

‘Praying it’s the last time’: Presley Gerber’s heartbreaking post months before death

The 27-year-old had checked into a rehab facility the day before he died, and details from the 911 call obtained by multiple US outlets confirmed he suffered from an apparent overdose. 

An automated voice saying “cardiac arrest” and “overdose” is reportedly heard on the 911 dispatch audio, which was obtained by Page Six. 

The address given to emergency responders matched the address of the rehab facility Presley had checked into. 

A source from the scene told the outlet that police, ambulance and firefighters all responded to the incident. Authorities were on the scene for three hours. 

In a statement shared on Monday September 21, the Santa Monica Police Department revealed that officers discovered Presley dead upon their arrival at the facility.

Santa Monica Police Detectives “are investigating the death as a suspected overdose,” the statement continued. 

“At this time, there is no indication of foul play. The official cause and manner of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.

“The investigation remains ongoing.”

Brooklyn Beckham follows with touching tribute

Tributes have begun pouring in for the late star, who is being remembered for his “kind heart” and “beautiful soul”.

Brooklyn Beckham and wife Nicola Peltz said they were “heartbroken” by the news of Gerber’s tragic passing.

“Presley, you were the kindest and we are going to miss you so much x we love you,” wrote Beckham alongside a photo with the star.

“I am truly devastated,” wrote Peltz. “Presley was pure light in this world, he had the kindest heart. I feel so lucky to have had him in my life. I will never forget his [kindness] and how he always showed up for his friends.

“My deepest condolences go out to his family. We miss you and we love you so much presley.”

Close friend Paris Hilton sent her love to Gerber’s entire family “during this unimaginable time”.

“I’m completely heartbroken. I still can’t believe this is real,” wrote Hilton in an emotional tribute online.

“So sweet, sensitive, kind and genuine. I care about you so much, and I’m going to miss you more than words can say.”

Hilton said she’ll always cherish the memories and laughs they shared, hoping the star knew how “deeply loved” he was.

“You had such a gentle heart and there was something so special about you that anyone who was lucky enough to know you could feel.”

Autopsy calls for additional testing

Another statement from the Medical Examiner’s office on Monday confirmed they were in “the early stages of investigating” Presley’s death, and that “limited information is currently available”.

An autopsy was performed the same day, but “the cause and manner of death have been deferred, which means additional testing and/or studies were requested in order to make a determination,” the statement continued.

Presley reportedly checked into rehab the night before he died of a suspected overdose on September 20, according to TMZ. 

Sources close to the situation told the outlet that the model entered the facility in Santa Monica on Saturday September 19. 

The model allegedly checked himself in because “he knew he needed help”, according to Page Six. 

“He had not been doing well,” the insider revealed. “He’s always suffered from a huge lack of self-esteem and had trouble accepting his real self and feeling fully confident in who he was as a person.”

Just hours later he was found unresponsive on the property. 

The facility provides treatment for people dealing with substance-abuse issues, mental-health problems, trauma, and other medical issues.

News of Presley’s death was announced on Monday September 21, AEST.

“The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time,” his family said in a joint statement.

Presley had long struggled with substance abuse and mental health.
