Not only is the Oscars the biggest night in film, but it's also the perfect chance to hard launch a new relationship.
A few stars have been brave enough to make it official on the Academy Awards red carpet, while others revealed they were dating at the ultra-exclusive Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty.
From Captain America to a comedy legend, here are all the celebrity couples who debuted on Hollywood's most glamorous night.

Amy Poehler and Joel Lovell
Amy Poehler and her partner Joel Lovell made their relationship debut at the coveted awards show last year.
The Parks & Recreation comedian and the former deputy editor of The New York Times Magazine had been dating since 2024.

The SNL alum previously married comedy icon Will Arnett in 2003, with the pair welcoming two children before splitting up in 2012.
Poehler found love again more than 10 years after the marriage ended.
Lovell is an executive editor at the podcast production company Pineapple Street Studios.
Their relationship was kept very private until their debut, with a source telling People magazine the couple were "enjoying spending time together" in 2024.
Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan
Sabrina Carpenter went viral when she hard-launched her romance with actor Barry Keoghan through the music video for her hit Please, Please, Please.
However, before Keoghan appeared in the music video, the couple attended the 2024 Oscars afterparty together.
While the couple skipped the red carpet and ceremony, they were pictured together at the annual soiree hosted by Vanity Fair.

The outing marked the first time they were photographed together after they had been dodging dating rumours for months.
Although the hard launch was iconic, the relationship didn't last, with the pair splitting up in December 2024 due to their busy schedules.
Their split inspired an album from Carpenter called Man's Best Friend.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Gisele Bündchen
Despite his star-studded dating history, the notoriously private Leonardo DiCaprio has only walked the Oscars red carpet with one partner – model Gisele Bündchen.
The couple were together from 2000, making their red carpet debut five years into their relationship when DiCaprio was nominated in the Best Actor category for his role in The Aviator.
While they were already known to be dating at the time, they had never walked a red carpet together.

Bündchen wore a white floor-length gown, while DiCaprio opted for a traditional suit and tie.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick also used the Oscars to make it official.
The 1993 award show was the first major Hollywood event the pair attended together; it wasn't their very first red carpet, but it was the first major one.

The stars – who were two of Hollywood's biggest names of the '80s and early '90s – had met in 1991, and married in 1997.
They're still together, and still walking red carpets.
