Actor Orlando Bloom is taking rumours about his Orlando Bloom singer Katy Perry dating former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in his stride.
With the world shocked by his ex-partner's choice for a rebound following the end of their relationship, many have created memes and jokes to cope.
One such outlet is renowned satire site The Onion, who shared on Instagram an AI generated photo of the 48-year-old having a romantic candlelit dinner with another political figure, Angela Merkel, the 71-year-old former Chancellor of Germany.

The headline read, "Orlando Bloom spotted at dinner with Angela Merkel" with the caption, "Just weeks after announcing his split with fiancée Katy Perry, English actor Orlando Bloom was photographed Friday dining with former German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
"'Angela kept Orlando laughing all night – he couldn't keep his eyes off her!' said an insider source who spotted the pair sipping wine, slurping oysters, and splitting a decadent piece of chocolate layer cake at a Michelin-starred restaurant," the satirical outlet jokingly claimed.
The post didn't escape the actor's notice, with the Pirates of the Caribbean star leaving his own comment, a string of applause emojis, in awe of the joke.

Pery was first spotted at her own dinner with Trudeau four days ago, with TMZ first reporting the story, publishing photos and video of the Fireworks singer and the former Canadian Prime Minister enjoying a meal together at a Quebecois fine-dining establishment.
The duo were spotted deep in conversation at a table for two inside in the high-end restaurant on Monday evening.
Days later, the former world leader was front and centre at the 40-year-old's Lifetimes Tour show in Montreal, Canada on Wednesday.
In videos captured by fans, the former Canadian prime minister could be seen singing and bopping along as the Firework singer performed on stage.

The supposed new romance comes just weeks after Perry and Bloom confirmed their split after 10 years together. They share one daughter, Daisy Dove, five.

Meanwhile, Trudeau separated from his wife Sophie Grégoire in 2023, with the pair sharing Xavier, 17, Ella-Grace, 16, and Hadrien, 11.
