Rep says Olivia Newton-John is doing just fine, slams reports star has 'weeks' to live

Unconfirmed reports from the US say Australian singer Olivia Newton-John is struggling to overcome her third bout of cancer.

According to Radar Online, the 70-year-old Grease star is determined to see her only child Chloe Lattanzi marry her longtime partner, James Driskill.

A source told the website: "Olivia's bodily functions appear to be shutting down, but she refuses to let go until she makes it through Chloe’s wedding day."

Now to Love reports that her prognosis is now "weeks, not months" and that Lattanzi's wedding day has been brought forward.

Newton-John was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992. She underwent a partial mastectomy and reconstruction as well as nine months of vigorous chemotherapy.

In 2013, she was diagnosed with cancer for a second time though she kept the details private. The tumour shrunk after treatment.

Then, in 2017, cancer was found in the musician's lower back.

Four months ago, Newton-John told Seven Network's Sunday Night program that she's "treating it naturally and doing really well." The entertainer revealed for pain, she is taking cannabis oil, made from marijuana that her husband John Easterling grows in California.

She has undergone radiation treatments and has cut sugar out of her diet.

"I believe I will win over it," Newton-John told the program. "I'm one of millions in this fight... in this journey. A lot of people see it as a fight. I see it as part of my mission."

In her new autobiography Don't Stop Believin', she said that she strongly believes this will be her "final round" with cancer, even though she will have to monitor her health for the rest of her life.

"Cancer is something I will need to stay on top of for the rest of my long life," she wrote. "I truly believe this will be my final round with cancer. I truly believe it will be like last time and I will go on with my life."

In August, Newton-John had to cancel two upcoming speaking appearances in Australia.
