Nicole Kidman can always tell if Keith Urban's stressed by the things he's googling

Nicole Kidman says she can always tell when her husband Keith Urban is feeling stressed.

In an interview with Marie Claire Australia, the Nine Perfect Strangers star said when Urban needs an escape, he can usually be found hiding away in his closet playing the guitar or googling his dream car.

"We're definitely female-heavy," the Aussie actress explained, referring to the singer living in a house full of women. The couple, who married in 2006, share daughters Sunday Rose, 12, and Faith Margaret, nine. "But as the girls say, 'The dog's a boy'. At times, [he] just needs to escape with his guitar. Sometimes I'll find him in his closet playing guitar. That's when I know we really need to give him space.

"Oh, and he googles cars. I'll know when he's stressed 'cause he's googling cars. I couldn't care less what car I'm driving. You can pick me up in any old thing. But Keith and Faith love cars."

Kidman also gushed about her 14-year marriage to Urban.

"He just came along and protected me," she said. "He's loved me, given me confidence, and made me so much more comfortable. He knows who I am and he's opened me up. We have an interesting balance because I'm an introvert and he's an extrovert."

Kidman is currently in Australia filming Nine Perfect Strangers, the TV adaptation of Liane Moriarty's book of the same name. She stars alongside Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Regina Hall, Manny Jacinto, Tiffany Boone, Luke Evans, Melvin Gregg, Grace Van Patten, Asher Keddie, Samara Weaving and Bobby Cannavale.
