Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman make ‘Time’ magazine’s Most Influential 100 list

Time magazine just released its 100 Most Influential People issue and Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman have made the cut.

The Aussie favourites were named along with other Hollywood heavyweights, including triple-threat Jennifer Lopez, Girls Trip star Tiffany Haddish, and actress-turned-royal Meghan Markle.

"I am honored to be included in the 2018 #TIME100 list," Kidman, 50, said on Instagram. "Thank you @TIME and thank you Nai for the beautiful words."

She was of course referring to her good friend and fellow Aussie actress, Naomi Watts, who was asked to write a blurb in the magazine about the Big Little Lies star.

"Dead Calm was released in 1989. Big Little Lies was released in 2017," wrote Watts, 49. "In the interim, Nicole Kidman has never once left our consciousness. And even after decades, she continues to break new ground."

But Watts kept the praise coming for Kidman, who she befriended on the 1991 set of the Aussie movie Flirting.

"Nicole has intelligence, compassion, kindness and humor that make her the epitome of a great woman and friend," Watts added. "There is no question that I and audiences the world over will continue to value and admire her for decades to come."

Meanwhile, it was Jackman’s Les Misérables co-star Anne Hathaway who wrote about Jackman, 49. She described him as “deeply egoless”.

“I’ve never stopped and analysed why I love Hugh Jackman,” the 49-year-old Princess Diaries star said. “For me, it’s like loving chocolate or puppies or rainbows: effortless.”
