Miley Cyrus posts gushy message about husband Liam Cyrus for his birthday

Miley Cyrus has given a rare insight into her marriage to Liam Hemsworth.

In celebration of her husband's 29th birthday, the singer-songwriter shared a lengthy message on Sunday, January 13, in which she wrote about her favourite qualities of his.

"When we met you were 19. Today, you are 29…" she began. "I thought I could share some of my favorite things about my favorite dude in honor of this very special day."

"The way you look at me, The way you look at our dogs … our pigs, our horses, our cats, our fish.

"The way you look at your family …. Your friends …. At Strangers …. At Life ….

"The way you look at the ocean and the way you always take your time.

"The way you go outside when I ask 'what's the weather like?' instead of checking our phone…"

Cyrus, 26, continues to discuss countless moments she's enjoyed with Hemsworth, before concluding, "Let’s take this dark place head on and shine thru with the light of L.O.V.E. Thank you for giving me the happiest days of my life. Yours Truly, M."

The pair first fell in love as teenagers after meeting on the set of the film The Last Song, and got engaged in 2012.

However, in 2013, the couple confirmed their relationship was over. They reunited in 2016, and announced the engagement was back on, with Cyrus wearing the 3.5 carat Neil Lane diamond engagement ring her fiancé had once given her.

They tied the knot on December 23 in a ceremony held at her home in Tennessee.

The newlyweds confirmed their nuptials a few days later with matching Instagram posts.

"My love," Liam wrote for his photo, while Miley said, "10 years later…"

Miley also shared a photo of their "one-millionth kiss."
