Miley Cyrus' boyfriend Cody Simpson is 'by her side' during vocal cord surgery
Miley Cyrus is relying on her boyfriend, Cody Simpson, to take care of her as she recovers from from vocal cord surgery.
The 26-year-old singer was taken to hospital last week, but is already on the mend at home.
"The surgery went well and she is resting up at home now," the source told People, explaining that Cyrus "has known for a while that she needed the surgery."

The 'Slide Away' singer's recovery involves staying silent for several weeks while her vocal cords heal.
"Any strain will prolong the healing," the source added.
Simpson, who previously cared for Cyrus when she was hospitalised with tonsillitis, has offered unwavering support to Cyrus once again.

"Cody is by her side. They are still doing well," the source said. "Miley seems very happy. Cody will make sure she isn't bored while she recovers."
But there's still hope for fresh music once she's fully recovered.

"[She is] doing great and will be back and better than ever early next year," the source claimed of Cyrus who is rumoured to be working on a new album, She Is Miley Cyrus.

Simpson previously released a song 'Golden Thing' that he wrote for Cyrus during her last hospital visit.

"I wrote her a song this week that she's pretty much forcing me to put out," Simpson said at the time. "She was like, 'If you don't put this s--- out, I'm putting it out on your behalf for you. I'm getting your Spotify login and doing this s--- myself.'"
Simpson started dating Cyrus two months after her separation from husband Liam Hemsworth, and two weeks after her split from Kaitlynn Carter.
The couple's relationship kicked off after they were photographed sharing an acai bowl in West Hollywood on October 3, 2019.
Since then, Cyrus and Simpson have flooded our Instagram feeds with loved up photos of their budding romance.
