Miley Cyrus gives fan surprise of a lifetime amid cancer battle
Miley Cyrus gave a fan the surprise of her life after learning about a heartbreaking request she had for the Flowers singer.
Cyrus performed two concerts at the Hollywood Bowl over the weekend. Mega-fan Cash Jacobs, who is battling stage 3 breast cancer, flew to LA to watch her idol perform with the hopes that Cyrus would shave her head.

In the days leading up to the concert, Jacobs took to TikTok to ask the internet to help the message reach the singer.
When she arrived in LA ahead of the show on October 16, she posted an update video explaining she was “nervous” that she “wouldn’t have any hair left for Miley to shave because it’s falling out so rapidly.”
“At this point she’ll have about three strands to shave. That’s okay, it’s better than nothing,” she said.
“I am going to wear a wig tonight because I’m a little self-conscious about my balding head, but if she calls out my name or anything of the sort, I’m going to rip my wig right off and wave it in the air so that she can locate me.
“Regardless of what happens tonight, this has been the most spontaneous and memorable trip ever.”
In a third video, she explained that Cyrus team had been in touch with her asking for her seat number and contact info, but she did not get to meet her that night.
“Miley if you see this, would still like to meet you. 10,000 out of 10 show. It was so good and I cried like a baby,” she said. “I’m going to shave my head when I get home. I’d rather be around loved ones, family and do that.”

Unbeknownst to her, Cyrus had seen the video, and she was planning something very special.
The Climb singer flew Jacobs back out to LA for her second show at the iconic venue.
In a video posted to her account, Cyrus could be seen meeting and speaking with Jacobs before shaving her head.
The Hannah Montana actress told Jacobs that she can be “soft and strong,” at the same time.
“Thank you to the universe for bringing us together and celebrating our connection and what music does for the world,” Cyrus said in the clip.
“Thank you for asking me to do this. I am honoured to be the one that you asked to share this moment with and thank you.”
“She took the time to meet me after and help me through one of the scariest and most intimate moments of my life,” the caption read.
“They say don’t meet your idols. Well I did. And it was everything and more. Finding out I had breast cancer, getting a port put in my chest and starting chemo was hard enough as it is. Never mind the side effects I’d soon be facing from the chemo.”

The caption continued to explain the profound impact Cyrus’ music had on Jacobs: “Her music has always lifted me in some of the hardest times of my life. And when they pass, I can listen to her songs and be reminded that I got through it and came out stronger. Between major depressive episodes and finding out I have stage 3 breast cancer.
“Miley is the softest, coolest, KINDEST, and most genuine human being I’ve ever had the privilege of meeting and spending time with, and not to mention her SHAVING MY F--KING HEAD!!!!! WHAT?!? I want to hold on to this moment and to always remember the conversations we had and what they mean for me. And more importantly, what they did for me at a time like this.”
“Lastly, thank you, Miley for making me feel safe and comfortable, for giving me your time, and for being exactly who you are. It is a huge gift to continue to watch you grow and you are forever my biggest inspiration,” she ended the caption.
