'My ear feels like it's hanging off': TOWIE star Megan McKenna reveals burns after freak kitchen accident

The Only Way is Essex star Megan McKenna has revealed she's suffered burns to the side of her face and her ear after a horrific at-home kitchen accident.

The British reality star, 30, shared a video on Instagram on Thursday showing fans her injuries after her mother accidentally poured scolding hot gravy on her as she tripped over the family dog in the kitchen.

"Before you freak, I've had a bit of an accident as you can see," McKenna began in her clip.

''On the weekend, I was at my mum's and we were having dinner and she walked over with the gravy pot.

''Daisy [the dog] got underneath her feet, she tripped over Daisy, grabbed the gravy pot but the gravy inside flopped out and landed on my head.

"Honestly, you can't even write it. It's obviously caught the side of my face."

McKenna went on to say her mother quickly helped her by running water over the burns for about half an hour and revealed she's in a bit of pain.

''It looks so much better now, it's in the healing process, so it's a little bit rank. It's on my nose. I've got a huge blister behind my ear. My ear feels like it's hanging off.

''Thank god we were right near a sink and she knew what she was doing. It was a couple of hours of stress."

McKenna signed off the video by hilariously quipping: ''Absolute nightmare, but I am on the mend and it's all good. And I still love gravy!''

She then shared a picture of herself in bed, showing her burns, and wrote: "Guys, thank you for the cute messages it's all gravy."

McKenna also shared a picture of her footballer fiancé Oliver Burke kissing her and comforting her.

"Good excuse to be waited on I suppose... only joking kisses will do," she captioned her post.

McKenna appeared on TOWIE from 2016 to 2017.

In June, she announced her engagement to Burke, 26, after he proposed at the beach.

"YES YES YES a thousand times YES. You have opened up a world I never thought was possible. I love you Oliver Burke… here's to forever my future husband," she captioned a post.
