Why 'Love Island Australia' runner-up Eden Dally thinks Grant Crapp should donate his prize money to charity

Eden Dally and his girlfriend Erin Barnett came second in the finale of Love Island Australia just weeks ago, but the Sydney prison officer now reckons they should've taken out the top prize.

The admission comes after TheFIX broke the news yesterday that winners Tayla Damir and Grant Crapp had split up because she felt betrayed that he had a secret girlfriend before entering the Villa in May -- a detail Eden said was against the show's rules.

"I am disappointed in Grant," Eden revealed this morning on KIIS 1065 radio program Kyle & Jackie O. "The Love Island contract is very clear that you must not be in a relationship when you apply for Love Island and to hear that Grant apparently broke his contract is very disappointing."

When hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson asked Eden if he felt Grant now had no right to win part of the $50,000 prize money -- which he split with Tayla -- Eden didn't hold back.

"With this now, it's really up to Grant and Love Island what Grant does," said Eden, 25. "Maybe he could even donate his money to charity, because really it was cheating.

"Like I said, the contract said that you can't have a partner. He said he was single and had no relationship, and as he's come out of the Villa, he said that he has had a girlfriend," Eden added.

"It is very disappointing to hear that because when I was on there with Erin, we had genuine feelings for each other -- we did love each other."

Eden also wasn't happy that 22-year-old Grant had failed to mention his secret girlfriend throughout their six-week stay in the Villa -- even lying when hooked up to a lie detector during one of the challenges. And while both men came to blows a few times during the show, it seems this issue is the one that really got under Eden's skin.

"Look, I left it in the Villa what happened between me and Grant. If we saw each other around I'd say 'hello,' but this is very disappointing news to hear that he really did have a girlfriend because when we were on Love Island, he took that lie detector test and said he'd never cheated before."

But Grant wasn't the only one who came under fire for allegedly having a secret girlfriend outside the show. There were whispers that Eden himself was in a relationship prior to filming.

"Before I came on the show, I was seeing a girl and I told Erin that pretty much in the first week I was in there," Eden told the KIIS 1065 hosts. "Yes, I had someone before going on the show. I was seeing her, but there was no relationship and she knew that too."

Unlike Tayla and Grant's relationship, Eden and Erin, 23, are still going strong. In fact, they're even making plans for Erin to relocate from Melbourne up to Sydney to be with him.

"Yeah, 100 per cent," he replied when asked if they were still together. "She's in Melbourne, I'll be there today. But in August, we're going to look into moving her to Sydney."
