Aussie Olympian Raygun's public message in surprise Logies appearance
Australia's viral Olympian Rachael Gunn – known in the breaking community as Raygun – made a surprise appearance at the 2024 Logies, much to the delight of the stars in the audience.
Sam Pang gave a shoutout to the international stars in attendance, including Saturday Night Live! alum Will Forte, and took the chance to introduce them to Australia's world-class talent.

Raygun made a surprise appearance in a pre-recorded message. Seven
"If you're not already aware apart from our world-leading television industry, we're world leaders in mining, agriculture and of course breakdancing," Pang said.
"Speaking of breakdancing, time now for a world exclusive, a message from the woman who represented Australia at [Paris 2024] and has become a global sensation, Raygun."

Gunn herself then appeared on-screen in a pre-recorded message, saying: "Hello, Australia, Raygun here. I just want to say congrats to all the Logie nominees and best of luck tonight.
"Please feel free to pull out my signature moves in celebration. Have fun and look after each other."
For anyone who missed it (were you living under a rock?), Gunn went viral in the second week of the Olympics for her unique moves at the breaking event, where she won hearts around the globe.

Though some critics took aim at Gunn for scoring zero points, fellow athletes from Team Australia and other high-profile Aussies defended Gunn for just "having a go".
Gunn even caught the attention of big-name international stars like Adele, who stopped one of her live shows just to talk about the breaker.
"I have to ask you, because it's all me and my friends have been talking about last night after the show and today," she addressed the crowd in a fan-captured video posted to X (formerly Twitter).

"I think it's the best thing that's happened in the Olympics the entire time. Did anyone see the breakdancing lady?" Adele said to an eruption of cheers from the audience.
"Now I didn't know that breakdancing was even an Olympic sport these days. I think that's f----ng fantastic. I really, really do."
