'One last Logies': Today's Brooke Boney hits the Logie Awards red carpet

Just days after recording her final segment for Today, Brooke Boney has zipped up her dress and strapped on her heels for "one last Logies" before heading abroad.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a pre-show snap with the caption "one last Logies" as she got ready for TV's night of nights.

Boney followed it up with a touching group shot of her with a number of the Today cast, including Tim Davies, Sarah Abo, Jayne Azzopardi and Alex Cullen.

That snap also gave fans a glimpse of Boney's chic black and white halter dress before she arrived on the red carpet.

The beloved TV presenter farewelled her Today family on Friday, not long after penning an Instagram tribute to the show she's called home for five years.

"Every single one of these legends made what was one of the most technically challenging broadcasts look like it was easy and I've never learned so much so quickly," she wrote.

"We made it look fun but make no mistake there were hundreds of people behind the scenes making us all shine, From Eddie feeding me stats and figures while I was getting hair and make up done to Ally Langdon rushing around briefing notes to my room because I had to head out to cover an event before sunrise the next morning," Boney continued.

"I'm in awe of their professionalism and work ethic and couldn't have dreamt up a better way to finish up at Channel 9."

Boney originally announced her plans back in March.

"Over the Christmas break, I was thinking about what the year ahead was going to hold," she told 9honey after announcing her Today departure.

"I'm 37 in a few weeks, and so I was just thinking, 'What does my life look like for the rest of this decade?'"

Boney had always wanted to study at an overseas institution and decided to pursue a Masters of Public Policy course at the prestigious Oxford University in the UK.

"I've never lived overseas and I was like, 'Why don't I just throw my hat in the ring and see what happens?'" she said, and now she's off to do just that.
