Lisa Marie Presley's ex Michael Lockwood reportedly concerned she will relapse after son Benjamin Keough's death

Lisa Marie Presley's ex-husband, Michael Lockwood, has reportedly voiced concern for Presley in the wake of her son Benjamin Keough's death at 27 years old.

Lockwood, 59 — who shares 11-year-old twin daughters, Harper and Finley, with Presley — made a claim in new court documents filed on July 23 (US Time), where he argued for temporary full custody of their two girls.

"On July 12, 2020, Petitioner's son... killed himself in Petitioner's home (although Petitioner was not there at the time)," Lockwood said in the documents obtained by Us Weekly. "With all due sympathy and respect, this creates a new and unaddressed twofold problem: the safety of the children and the greater likelihood of Petitioner to relapse into drug or alcohol dependency."

Benjamin, Presley's son with her first husband Danny Keough, died at his mother's home in Calabasas, California from suicide on July 12.

Lockwood also claimed that his girls may need guidance following the incident, which 52-year-old Presley "may not be capable of doing due to her mindset and grief".

He continued that it wouldn't be unlikely for his ex-wife "to relapse into drug or alcohol use despite her alleged three years sober".

Meanwhile, Presley's representative Roger Widynowski told The Sun on July 24 that she was "too distressed" to return to the house she shared with Benjamin.

A close source told the outlet: "They were already dealing with the mold problem and now Lisa doesn't want to return, she is too distressed and doesn't ever want to relive that morning."

"She had been looking for a rental while staying at the hotel, going back and forth to the house only to sort things out, and she's now found somewhere," the source continued. "It's the right place for the family to hole up for a while and grieve privately as they navigate this awful time in their lives."

Presley's representative Roger Widynowski told People at the time of Benjamin's death that she was "completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley. She adored that boy. He was the love of her life."
