"The obstruction was in the form of a strangulated small bowel caused by adhesions that developed after bariatric surgery years ago," deputy medical examiner Juan M. Carillo said in the report, via Us Weekly.
According to the report, Lisa Marie complained of abdominal pain hours before she was found unresponsive in her home in Calabasas, California.
The only child of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley was then rushed to hospital, where she was found to have "a severely distended abdomen" and "severe metabolic acidosis".
She died of natural causes after suffering cardiac arrest on January 12, 2023.

Lisa Marie's mother Priscilla, 78, confirmed the news of her daughter's passing in a statement to People on January 12.
"It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," she told People at the time.
"She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss.
"Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment."
Tributes from family and famous friends flooded in during the days following her passing.
However, a legal dispute broke out between Priscilla and Lisa Marie's daughter Riley Keough over the late star's estate in the months after her death.

Lisa Marie's father left everything in her name when he died, including his Graceland property, however Lisa Marie's trust had dwindled by the time she died in 2023.
Originally, Priscilla had been one of the co-trustees of that trust, however in 2016 Lisa Marie removed her mother as a co-trustee and appointed Keough and her brother, Benjamin Keough, as co-trustees instead.
This caused a messy legal tussle between Keough and Priscilla, however they reached settlement in May – but it was in June that details of the secret agreement emerged.
