Liam Hemsworth holidays in Australia with brother Chris amid Miley Cyrus split

Liam Hemsworth appears to be enjoying time with family in Australia amid his split from wife Miley Cyrus.

On Instagram, his brother Chris shared photos of them on a getaway with friends to Makepeace Island, located in the Noosa River on the Sunshine Coast.

In one, Chris, 36, jokingly places his sneaker on his younger brother's head, and in another, the two shoot sly glances to the camera as a perfect sunset paints the sky behind them.  

Chris' wife Elsa Pataky shared a series of videos from the group's relaxing meetup, including a silly clip of Chris dancing by the pool and Liam, 29, flexing his bicep for the camera.

Liam's Australian break comes one month after he and Cyrus, 26, confirmed their separation after seven months of marriage. The split happened after Cyrus was photographed kissing Brody Jenner's ex Kaitlynn Carter while the two were on holiday in Lake Como, Italy. Liam has filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences." 

Cyrus and Carter have since been spotted together in Los Angeles and are rumoured to be dating. 

"They live together and are very happy," a source told People magazine. "Miley is doing great. She is moving on. She seems to have no regrets. She loves being with Kaitlynn."
